Looking to go slay some crappie! Does anyone have any info on the ice conditions at Pineview? The weather is definately colder and will reach the teens or lower twenties this week. Does this mean it will be safe to return the View? I live about an hour away and would hate to drive in vain.

I was there last weekend. the edges were soft but we just used a cheap extension ladder layed across the soft part to get to good Ice. The ice was about 16 inches thick.
With the colder weather we have had since, I would guess that even the edges are OK now but bring a plank or ladder just incase.
We did best in the narrows although it has slowed waaay down from the when the crappies were found earlier in the season.
