Hit the south marina at 10 am and headed out to the island. Fished there for over an hour and started to troll toward the berm and feed lot. Nothing! Headed to the west dike and trolled 15 different lures at different depths and speeds. Nothing along the whole west dike at all.[mad] The boy had a good nap and got to drive the boat so it wasn't a loss.
BTW: If you launch a boat in the south marina be extremely careful. About 30' out from the concrete on the north ramp i hit bottom almost all the way to the trailer. Once you get in the channel stay dead center and go out straight for atleast 200 yards.

[#0000bf]Also, did you just troll or did you try throwing some plastic...or soaking bait?[/#0000bf]

[#0000bf]From what I have been hearing the weather has muddied and cooled the water and the fish are low and slow.[/#0000bf]

Dang! [mad]
I can't wait for Willard to heat up. I have been dreaming all winter about the wipers... I need to catch some! [cool]

We tried soaking some bait and throwing some maniacs and maribou jigs by the light pole and the immediate area for a while with nothing. We also tried inside the south marina with all kinds of stuff with nothing there either.
Maybe this weather will calm down for next week. Snow in the forecrash for this week.[mad]

Thanks for posting your report Brody, this time of the year sure can be tough at the Bay[unsure]. I love fishing Willard but I went to EC on Saturday because I wanted to catch a few fish. I've never been able to do good at WB this time of the year especially when the weather has been unsettled for several days. That will change soon though, as the weather warms, can't be soon enough for me. Looks like this week will be another tough one with all the rain and snow that is predicted. One of the walleye guys from the DWR site (Crankem), was there this past weekend, he had no luck either. He
said it was his 13th trip of the season with only one eye and a few wipers to show for it.

So where does one go to find fish stocking reports? The only place I know about ([url "http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/stocking/"]DWR page[/url]) hasn't updated their site yet for 2007. Is there another place?

[cool][#0000ff]Sorry, Bro. That was a feeble attempt at humor. The only fish stocking in Utah are the hatchery pets (trout, slimers, finless Freddies). Us "multispecies" anglers often joke about the troutaholics that follow the hatchery trucks, since it is the only way they can catch fish.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Then, when we are having a rough time catching cats, bass, walleyes, wipers or whatever, we joke about the hatchery not stocking it this week...etc.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Didn't mean to make you feel like you were missing out on anything.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]They usually do not start stocking much for awhile yet. But, once they are actively dumping trout and cats they keep the stocking reports up pretty good.[/#0000ff]
