Willard and Pineview 6/21
#1
My uncle came down from Oregon for 2 weeks and last week was my turn to show him a good time. I did not let him down.[Wink]
We started off the week fishing willard on afternoons tuesday, wednesday and thursday. Tuesday was very slow only catching an eye and a wiper. Wednesday we caught an eye and a cat. Thursday we had to tow a boat from the west dike just after launching and KARMA kicked in. After we started trolling we caught fish consistently. 3 eyes landed, 2 lost, 2 cats landed, and 7 other hits. At about 7 pm, the wipers started to dance a little and by 7:30 it was ON!!! Boils lakewide and big ones too! We tried chasing them but ended up sitting still and letting them come to us. Good move. We were in fish all night. Not even sure how many fish we caught. The best part was when i was helping my uncle unhook his first wiper, i heard a singing noise coming from my 4 year olds direction. I turned to see him leaning over the side of the boat trying to hold onto his first wiper that he caught completely by himself! I dropped what i was doing and ran up to help him hold the rod. After squeels, giggles, splashes and Smiles we netted his fish and the whole lake knew it. I couldn't be more proud.[cool] Evidently a boil had come within 5 feet of the boat and he tossed his silver spinner into it.

Thursday morning started myself and my uncle at pineview at 5:45 on glass like and warm conditions. We headed toward the narrows pounding the banks. I was throwing a buzzy and he was using a jerkbait. I nailed the first fish, a 25" tiger shortly after launch. Nothing else in that area so we moved over to the ph. Started working the shoreline toward nf and i slammed a beautiful 4# largie! Nothing else on that shoreline so we moved to the south side of the ph. Shortly after dropping the bow mount i nailed a 30" tiger! Soon after that my uncle nailed a 23"er and his first tiger. We fished with buzzies and cranks for about 2 more hours and had 3 hits. We decided to move over to cp and throw plastics. We caught 5 smallies and one was a very nice 4#er that i caught on a 15' shelf. Beautiful fish also. I had a great time fishing with my uncle this week and he had no complaints. Most of the pics are on my phone so i have to send them to the comp before i can post them. [cool]
