So after being a good student and not even thinking about fishing all semester, I now have some time to fish before the first of the year. I can hear the ice screaming my name. Where should I go Scofield or Mud Creek? I havent been to Scofield in years but I do want a fish dinner and shy from the Berry when fish is on the menu. Where should I go and anybody want to go with?

For both numbers and the ability to keep fish, head to Scofield. Mud Creek isn't worth it. [cool]

Scofield has been good to us our three trips on the ice but I have heard lots of bad reports also. I love Strawberry when it freezes over for the first month. I will be at the Berry 2 or 3 times this week after my last final tomorrow. If I were you, and you are talking about next Friday or Saturday, I would hit the berry for sure but not Mud Creek. Fish a cove that recently froze with 3 -4 good inches that hasn't been pounded like Mud Creek. Maybe soldier creek side or Strawberry marina if frozen. I'll post my Tuesday report on the Berry so stay tuned.

When theres more ice i would head over by the ladders or if you have a sled or a wheeler i could point you in a liitle better of a spot that dont get much pressure

That would be appreciated but I go back to school on the 3rd and there will be no more fishing until April15th after that. I don't think there will be much more ice for me to play on by then.
