Heres a real beauty caught at Willow Beach last week. There in and around the harbor area. Thanks for the report. Allan Cole and his AC Plug swimbaits are legendary for catching big stripers in Arizona/Nevada waters. A while back the local Home News did a great article about how he developed his swimbait and marketed them out of his home. What a story he can tell about fishing!
I have a confession to make..... I own a couple AC Plugs, live pretty close to Willow Beach, own a boat, and have never fished for big stripers. [  ] WOW do I feel better! BaySport [signature]

I wish I lived that close, I'd be there all the time catching those hogs. When we go we do pretty good on big fish. Not as many as Allan, but then again the lure supply is not for free like Allan.

Right now it is raining off and on. In a couple of weeks it should be fine. March is usually a good time to fish temp wise, especially compared to July and August! You never know though, you can make the long trip and end up with 40 mph winds. I've been down that road before. The 7 day forecast is usually pretty accurate. One thing for sure, that new boat of yours can handle any water conditions the canyon and Lake Mojave can toss your way.

You're hilarious. It's been a long time, Bay Sport. How have you been? Unfortunately, I have been going through some personal issues in the last few months so I haven't been able to check out the board. Everything is great now though, and I'm looking to do my 8 day houseboat trip in October. Hope you're doing well!

Definitely, I want to hear all about it. I'm actually going out next weekend for some yellowtail, and possibly, albacore. Leaving from the Point Loma Sportfishing dock in S.D. I can't wait to get back to Mead though in October. That's going to be sweet! Have a great fishing trip, and good luck hooking up a monster.
