Fished the Gorge over the weekend. fished Holmes and Buckboard area's. The ice is o.k. for now, but it could go fast. The pressure ridges are still o.k. to get across but some warm days will end that. Fishing was good on Saturday and a little slower on Sunday do to the bright sunny day. Saturday we got out on the ice about 7:30 the first fish that came across my finder took my jig, fought him about 10 -15 min, he went just over 20lb. A little later my friend Aaron hooked in to a good one fought him for 15min and could not get him off the bottom. Then POP! cut the 12lb test on the ice. BUMMER![mad][mad]( Never got a glimps.) Aaron hooked another a little later that was just under 10 lbs. We caught smaller fish the rest of the day. Sunday we got on the ice at day light, fishing was good in the morning but started to slow down by 11:00. Aaron hooked in to another good one about 9:00 and he landed this one. Just over 20lb also! We caught fish through out the day but a lot slower then on Saturday. It wont' be to long before the ice is gone. So start preppen the boats! ( Both big fish were released! )
