A sunny day at the Nell

Oh yes the sun was doing its thing, the morning temps was 35 at 7:00 and water was 50....

No wind for the first 5 1/2 hours and the fishing was great boated over 20 fish with 3 being chubs and the rest bass from 4.6 lb to 13" ...

Then a friend from Kamas showed up and we started looking for more bass, the wind made it hard to hold and fell the bites...

The wind stopped about 1:30 and we was on bass right of, by 2:45 we boated 19 bass and 5 chubs one that weighted 2.8 lb the biggest chub I have seen....

All the bass and chubs came on drop shot with gulp minnows in 10' to 30' of water, if we found the chubs we found the bass...

That is magnificent, the scenery, weather, fish, and the snow up in the peaks. You make me weap.

How durable are those gulp minnows you use, do you usually catch all the bass on a few of them or do they last? Now I am convinced that they do an excellent job of imitating them chubs. I will have to start learning this technique.

every day another fine jordanelle post from you man. i have never been so jealous of anyone for anything in my life. thats my favorite place. wish i had that kinda time. just one question tho---how do you afford all that gas??????

How I hook them on I can get up to 4 fish off of one bait but the norm is 2 to three fish, and that is good as far as I look at it...

It does no good to have a bait that last all day if it doesn't catch fish....
