Just returned from a few days of fishing the South Fork below Pali

However, there was some decent late afternoon dry fly fishing in the side channels with PMD's. Also some daytime caddis, little yellow stones, and golden stones around. No real hatch, just a smattering of assorted bugs here and there, just enough to keep a few fishing looking up. Smaller Cutts could be brought to the surface in most of the shallower riffles. The bigger fish were sporadically eating in the slower side channels, moving a lot and not rising steady.
The nymph fishermen appeared to be catching fish with some regularity, which is normal.
Overall, not as good as the same time last year for dries, though I heard the 'ole "Shoulda been here last week" for the Salmonflies! I only fished Pali

13000 CFS is a little much for me, but I'd do it again in the morning if I could!
