[]We fished the nelle today got in on a pretty good top water morning with one eighteen inch largemouth and a seventeen inch smallmouth. That has got to be the neatest thing when they explode on a top water lure. Also caught a bunch of little ones. Rockcliff was the hot spot.

Thanks for posting your report, good for you catching a largemouth. We sure don't hear of many folks catching them there. I wonder if the DWR are planting them now or are they getting in there by other means[:/]? Anyone know? WH2

Tube Dude hit it right on the head. the initial planting of Jordanelle from the Gorge was all smallmouth bass but there were some largemouth mixed in. Not many but enough to garner a small population. The Nelle is a smallmouth paradise but every now and then you will stick a respectable greenfish.
