UL Cats
#1
I hit UL yesterday with two friends. We started at bird island around 730. After an hour of little action we then moved to lincoln beach. One small cat and a half dozen white bass later (big suckers too, eating minnows off the bottom) - we moved over to the west side by the knolls. We got into some more white bass and about noon the cats hit. We caught a few decent sized cats and a couple "big-uns" lost at the boat. These were the two best I boated during our outing. The smaller cat went 24" and 3lbs, the larger was 30 inches and 9.8 lbs. The smaller cat bit on my UL pole, and it was a good fight, lots of fun.

Nice report and pictures. I have never fished the Knolls. I have got to give it a try.

They were quite good sized, I didn't take the time to measure but I would guess 8 - 10" on the average. We kept a few to eat and a couple smaller ones for bait.
