I can't say enough about Rocky Mountain Tackle, its the best on the gorge.
Started off fishing kokes in the big bend area, didn't take long to get our limits, but nothing much over 3 pounds. The best bait was mai-tai serpent spoon behind the UV pink splatter dodger (even though all the paint fell off it while in the water). Hyper plaid followed by a UV pink flash also worked well. Squids and other popular styles of baits gave us little luck. Most were caugh 45-50 feet, with a couple down to 55. Then the rains came and we sat in the camper all afternoon.
Saturday morning we made the long run down to the stateline for macs. We found them stacked heavy on a point in 110-125 ftw. Just a little 3-inch curlytail grub and a small piece of sucker meat was the ticket for us. Caught 9 in a little over an hour along with several misses, up to about 5 pounds. Then we left in search of bigger fish with no results. Then once again the storms were brewing...
