I am going fishing on sunday, and I have been wondering how thick the ice is, and how deep the snow is on top of it. I have heard different things about the fishing, where are the hot spots? If you could help me out, that would be great! Thank You.

Not sure about the hot spots, been there 3 days this week already and so far only a few have caught a few. Anyways, strawberry marina is fine, the ice is about 8" thick, there's not much snow on the ice, enough to stop from slipping every step. Found that going out at least 40-50 yards from the shore, in at least 20' water and staying close to that depth was the best. We were in about 20 yards from the shore, only 1 fish hit, missed him darn it. Then moved out about another 20 yards and within 5 minutes my son got his first ice fish. In the slot of course. So, there is my 2 cents.
