Slushy at Pineview
#1
Frozenover and I hit pineview this morning. We were on the lake by 6 am. The temp was zero when we left the truck.
We first tried up past the private marina and found mud on the first set of holes we drilled.
We moved back down close to Browning Point and James caught one crappie. I couldn't get a bite.
We punched a bunch of holes around the area without anymore fish.
At 10 am we headed over to the narrows. The first place we stopped, we drilled a number of holes in many depths. Neither one of us could get a bite.
I looked for and found the holes that I was fishing in on Saturday. The hole I was using wasn't frozen. I dropped in and started catching fish. I caught 8 one right after another. Then just as fast as it started, it shut right down.
After a while we moved over to the north side of Cemetary Point. Just as most of the places we tried today. We saw plenty of fish on the finder, but they just wouldn't hit anything we had.
The slush got pretty bad during the day. On Saturday, there wasn't any slush, but today it was bad.
It was still a fun day on the ice, just not enough fish.
Everyone I talked to was having about the same luck.
