Good morning,
I'm sick of waiting for the Berry to thaw, so I'm taking my boat out tomorrow to see how I do at Willard.
I have never even been there though, so I am curious as to the location of the boat ramp.. Is everything easy to find by following the signs from I-15, or do I need some directions?
What kinds of fish are in Willard and what's the best way to catch them?
I've been using White 3" tube jigs at Strawberry with some worm or minnow meat on them. Do the fish at Willard need any actual bait on the jigs, or will they just strike by site, not by smell?
Does time of day make much difference during this part of the season? Any advantage to pre-dawn fishing, or being there after dark? Do they eat in the dark?
Does trolling work better, or still fishing/jigging ?
Tomorrow's going to a 'break-in-the-boat' day, but I might get lucky and have the boat just start right up and work right away.. If I can catch some fish, I'd certainly be a happy camper (or fisher..)
So, any advice, comments, or warnings about Willard will be appreciated.
Almost forgot to ask. Is it all deep in the middle, or are there shallow parts that I should be aware of? I have a depth guage so will see the bottom if it's coming up gradually, but I'll be in deep doo doo if there's some hidden rocks that come up all of a sudden.
Thanks for your comments,
Curtis
