Fish Symbols
#1
I recieved a PM asking me about the fish symbols next to all our names. I didn't have an answer since it has been a while since the information about how many posts equal what symbol. Where can I find this info so I can answer the question.
With the # of new members, maybe someone could post the key.

Since the Musky is the often called "The Fish of 10,000 casts" my vote is Musky for the 10,000+ posts.

[cool][#0000ff]Back in the olden days, when BigFishTackle was in its infancy, it was inconceivable that anybody would ever reach 10,000 posts. The feeling was "Let's fish off that bridge when we come to it."[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Now, several years later, there are a few bandwidth bozos (like myself) who have far surpassed the old 10K mark. At one time that seemed like a lofty pinnacle. Now it is almost an embarrassment. [/#0000ff]

[font "Times New Roman"]Been checking in and reading post for over God know how long. Enjoyed a lot of things I’ve seen. Just finally joined a few weeks ago. Don’t talk much so I don’t post unless I can help someone. No fish symbols for me. Kind of like the fish cop that always talking at the bait shop how he was the best fisherman on the lake. Then came along one guy that always came in with his limit. The fish cop couldn’t stand it and just had to know his secret. So he pleaded with the guy to take him out on the lake, he agreed. The next morning they headed to his favorite spot and the guy light a stick of dynamite and throws in the water. BOOM, fish come up all over the place. The fish cop says, you know that’s illegal I’m going to have to write you a ticket. The guy lit a stick of dynamite and handed to him and said—YOU GOING TO SHUT UP OR FISH[/font]

Guess I had better start posting more. I'm only about 40 away from the barracuda. Smile

Actually, I never even watch them. Didn't realize how high my post count was. But then again, I've been on here since shortly after this site really got going (when the old Utah Fish Finder and other sites were falling apart).

That should give a couple of you a flashback.....

[cool][#0000ff]Once you reach walleye status it wouldn't surprise me if you quit posting...just so you could remain a walleye. We will miss you.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]I didn't have anything to do with the rating system. Just passin' it on.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have caught a lot of sturgeon too...all up and down the Pacifiic Coast and in the Snake River in Idaho. Some sturgeon chasers in the San Francisco Bay area call them "mud marlin".[/#0000ff]
