AlvinC, Tyler and I hit Raccoon Mtn today after work and ran up into the gorge. The river was running harder than I have ever seen it and was about 3 feet high. Our plan today was to throw pig n jigs and plastic into the flooded shorline cover. Tyler was in his boat and was later joined by his wife.

Alvin and I had a great evening. We ended up boating 10 bass (3 LM, 1 Meanmouth, 6 spots) and 3 channel cats. All bass were keepers except for one and we had a 5 lb 14 oz, 3.5 lber, another 3.5 lber, and two 1.75 lbers. Best 5 went around 16.5 lbs. Not too bad. Fish came on black/blue pig n jig (real pork too), Chigger craws, and spinner baits. Water temp was around 66 and the big girl was squirting eggs in the boat after I boated her. The 3.5 lber I am holding would have bent close to 5 pre spawn. Very skinny fish, but long. The 5-14 was the "largest" bass I have ever caught but was only the second heaviest. Very long fish with a giant mouth.

I will let Tyler post about his results. Let's just say at least he got to watch fish being caught.emoPoke
