Took the new old duck hunting boat 14' for a test drive while the Bass boat is in the shop [frown]. Put in @ AF windy with about 10'' 12" waves a litte rough not use to the smaller boat. Fished around outside of the marina trying to nail some white bass only caught one.

Went over to the inlet to see if they were biting. There were about twenty people standing in the inlet and about three boats no one catching anything tried for bass a little longer. They were not there today like a few days ago. Changed to crappie and blue gills caught about 12 then call it a day it was getting dark needed load the boat for the 1st time alone wanted some light to make sure boat was loaded right.

Talk to only one fisherman some guys catfish from a boat say they were getting hits but missing the fish they caught one nice channel before I left.

you say, "Changed to crappie and bluegill, " what does that entail?
I am a terrible fisherman, but from the rerading and reports here, my guess would have been that they would all be in similar areas (vegetation cover and rocks) and taking small jigs, spinners, small baits, etc..

So what did you different to switch over to crappies and bluegill?
