Certified Scales ... where to find one??
#1
Every once in a while, a fisherman will catch a fish that he thinks might be the the state record.

So, where are some places in Ogden or SLC a guy could go to weigh his hawg on certified scales?

What if you needed to weigh it on a weekend when most businesses were closed. Then where?

Keep the fish on ice and go to UPS or Fed Ex.

We tried the grocery stores one time and they said because of sanitation they couldn't weigh the fish.

Maybe a meat processing plant can do it but UPS and Fed Ex is where I'd go. Maybe even try the post office.

Good luck [Smile] [Smile]

Shipping services scales aren't that accurate(they round up to the nearest lb). Stores can be accurate to a 100th of a pound. The meat department of your local grocery store is your best bet.

The post office has an accurate scale. The one here in Spanish Fork is available 24 hours. Wouldn't it be fun just thinking about the next guy to come in and put a package on that scale after you had a big fish laying on it?
