This is NOT a fish story !
This is a new record Northern Pike in Utah He caught it on Yuba Lake .
Check this thing out.. The man (in the photos below), was fishing and caught a 36" Pike.
As he was reeling it in, a 56" - 55 lb Pike tried to eat it !!!!!
He landed them both in the same net. The last picture is crazy!!!

The only thing that surprises me about this story is that it took this long for it to show up on this board!

Damn someone must have been selling sponges the past week. I got this story over a year ago from a buddy in Minnesota. He sent me the original pictures and article from the Minneapolis news station. According to them the fish was caught in Minnesota (forget the name of the lake)
Anyone who has actually fished at Yuba knows the fish are fatter and are pale in color. Not to mention if Yuba is that clear of water pigs must be flying and money must be growing on trees now! [:p]

[cool][#0000ff]I am guessing that I have received this set of pics...and different background stories...at least 20 times over the past 5 years. Amazing how many lakes that fish came from.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The truth...as I have been able to determine...is that the fish is from Europe. Most reliable sources say it was from the Netherlands, but a couple of other sources say northern Italy.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Northern pike are found all over Europe and they grow BIG. [/#0000ff]
