I had just gotten to work and was watching it happen. later that morniing got a phone call from my sister saying my nephew was on a war ship deployed to middle east. scary times.

I was at home having coffee with my wife. That was a heartbreak of a day for sure. It was the one and only time I got caught without one round of ammo in the house for any of my weapons in the house. THAT WILL NEVER happen again.

I was sitting in a law class at Weber State Uiniversity when we found out. The professor was kind enough to end class early so that we could go find out what was going on.

Laying in bed with our new 8 day old daughter trying to figure out what the usually funny radio guys were so serious about in the 8 seconds they could talk before I hit the snooze button. Spent the rest of the day watching TV with her on my lap. 30 days later I was working 20 hour days mission planning airstrikes vs. the Taliban. Surreal.
