Gator, Chickamauga, Crappie, 9/30/09, My son Dewayne
#1
My son Dewayne came down for some fishing, arrived around 1pm and we were fishing by 2:30 pm. Fished until approx 7 pm. We fished docks and the wind gave us a fit all day long. We used panfish assassins, stubby butts, and BG Shad in shad type colors dipped in Charturce to give it a tail light. We finished the day with almost 30 crappie and 12 keepers all over 10.5 inches and had a couple over 13. I feel we would have done better had the wind allowed us to keep the boat in position. Water temp was 74-75 most everywhere. Fish caught in water from 6 ft to 20 ft and most caught about half way to the bottom on a very subtle bite. It was a great day to be on the water especially with my son. All the keepers are headed back to Franklin Tenn. The picture is of one of the bigger fish.
