ELLIS FOR STEELHEAD?

Hey fellas ,what about the Ellis hole, has anyone tried it? A buddy and i are headed up for a shot at some steelies.But not sure how far to go.any info, would be appreciated thanks [fishin]

im not quite sure if there are fish up that high yet. but im not an expert i have fished there a couple times in the fall and havnt done well.

I drive by there several times a week. I haven't seen anyone even try Ellis yet. Right now, there are a few guys as far as 8-10 miles south of Salmon, but that's as far as I've seen anyone.

F&G report shows 32 anglers checked and 6 fish kept. I agree they are not quite there yet.

Two weeks ago some of the best fishing was from North Fork to Salmon, a steelhead can easily be at the Pahsimeroi by now. You never know? But the majority of the fish are going to be down river. We've caught fish above Challis in mid November so who knows. Good Luck!

i know a couple of ppl who were catching fish at ellis on nov 1st last year so i am sure a few are there but i wouldnt hope for high numbers yet.
