Steelhead update??
#1
I'm headed out tomorrow but don't know which direction to go. I'm in Boise and can't decide between Shoup and Salmon or Riggins and Orofino. Fairly familiar with both areas. Just curious where y'all are catching fish. I'm a newby to the site. You have a great thing here. I wish I would have known about it sooner.
Anything you can tell me to help me make my decision would be appreciated.

i would head down river to riggins the water is still warmer there and the fish are biting a bit better. it seems like the water is around 35 degrees around shoup and the fish arnt hitting well from what i have heard. but a couple warm days and that can all change. welcome to the site i look forward to hearing from your trip, be sure to take some pictures.

welcome to the site.i fished from salmon all the way past shoupe into owl creek sunday and i only turned two fish the bite was very very slow and when you did get hit it was just a super fast light wack and if you wernt on your toes you had no chance of hooking into a fish i would head to riggins i know last weekend a group of 10 guys went up and they said they had 144 fish in three days

I landed 12 last weekend around Shoup and lost 2 due to cheap hooks. There were some but not many people there. If I had a choice I would go up north but I have only fished it once.

Sounds like it's going to be Riggins but I have a couple buddies that were suppose to be back from Shoup yesterday and still aren't back. That could mean a couple different things I guess but I'm hoping they got into 'em. I'll let y'all know. Thanks.
