Lift Install

The only other X-mas Gift other a new fly reel I wanted was to lift my SUV. [][][]


Any you guys know anybody who does good work on 4x4 and dosent charge too much to lift a Chevy Trailblazer ???
I called Jack it but they want want to much just for the install no parts

Good luck! That is one of the most complicated lifts out there.

Maybe you know more about this than I do the only other vehicle I've lifted was a Jeep CJ7 & that was a simple coil over axle lift.

But from researching Im getting that All I need are New Rear springs, Shocks & spacers

After adding the items above heres what it suppose to look like

Keep in mind that the drive train is almost integrated in the frame and the front axles go through the oil pan as well as numerous other oddities on a trailblazer.

That kit also only gets you 2" at the most. Anything over that you are looking at serious money.

Yea Im doing the MarkMc Lift-Meister Lift

Its the same as the Suspension maxx but MarckMc uses impregnated steel were S-maxx uses polycarbonate.
Im adding in Avalanche Z71 Springs suppose to give me 2.5 inches of lift and will allow me to run 32" tires with spacers. All the install consists of is bolting on the spacers to the top of my struts and switching the springs but I rent so I dont have a garage and they dont allow you to work on your vehicle in the parking lot.[crazy][crazy][crazy]

Just looking for someone who is knowledgeable to do the the install normally I just have Jack it do it but I just don't have the cash there asking to do the install.

I'll start off by saying I'm not "attacking" you, but if you can't afford the lift to be properly installed by someone who knows what they're doing why would you dump money on a lift kit for your rig in the first place? You also said you'd run larger tires. If you can't (or don't want to) pay for the lift install, how are you gonna buy new tires? Oh, and yes, you'll need a front end alignment after the lift install too. Maybe my thinking is strange to you, but do it right or simply don't do it! Sorry for my soapbox, but it almost seems that on some posts, people are asking for others to call them out lately.

NO worries I never take any of anybodies replies to heart Ive been in the PC business 15+ years and been part of many many internet forums.

But to reply to your post ever heard of shopping around ??? [] LOL
Just because one shop says there charge 400 dollars dosent mean another wont charge 300 to even 200 to"properly install" ....

I say Im tired of people not taking more than 5 minutes to think about what there posting.

If you clearly read the post, I posted a link about the lift from trailvoy.com. And if you would have taken 5 minutes to research the link you have have realized that trailvoy is a internet forum just like this one its dedicated to modified chevy trailblazers & envoy owners

You would have seen that the members have post everything thats needed to lift a trailblazer including tires, alignment, and predicted labor costs. So how about before you TRY to call people out on there post you do some research [laugh]

And just FYI the lift takes 1/4 of labor time say a chevy silverado or avalance would so why would I pay that same ... oh you wouldnt of known that you didn't research or post any questions you just flamed ...[crazy]

By the sounds of your post, you actually were pretty serious. I did look at your link, etc. before I originally posted, so why bother accusing me? It didn't get you anywhere.

Now, personally I think lifting a trail blazer is useless. But then again some (maybe not you) rednecks always like mess around with their trucks since they probably don't have anything better to do. Why not buy a real truck and lift it, or even a jeep? Better yet, why not just spluge on a 1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille and lift it? Perhaps put the Caddy body on a 3/4 ton truck frame? Now that would be "cool". Hey, our Fed Ex man drives an Ecoline 15 passenger van with 4x4 drive and a lift kit. Maybe Fed Ex auctions those off? LOL I'm out!~~~~

The wheelbase & frame of the Trailblazer is the same as a silverado or avalanche so what the differece in between lifting a truck or a trailblazer ???? LOL obvious a little research goes a long way [laugh][laugh][laugh]

As for lifting a 1984 Cadillac or a Fedex truck thats something you obvious have been pondering. But thanks for your insights helps me clearly define who's a redneck [
