My son and I fished East Canyon at the South end on Saturday. Very SLOW action. Light biters/bait stealers (I assume smaller fish) and no hook ups. No one around us were pulling up fish either. Fished in about 40' and worked the water column. Tried various jigs and baits to no avail. Very atypical of my usual early season trips to East Canyon.
We ended up leaving at about 11:30 am and went to Echo near the dam. Super hard ice (7"-8"). A bit more action there, but ended up with only one nice Rainbow about 17". Saw one other caught about the same size.
