[mad]I CAN'T BELEIVE THAT YOU HAVE TO USE A CREDIT CARD TO GET A CAMPING SPOT NOW. NO CASH!!! ONLY A CREDIT CARD. NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT A PERSONAL PROFILE OF YOURSELF ON LINE TO EVEN BE ALLOWED TO CAMP. NO KIDDING !! NEW LAW THIS YEAR!! THAT BURNS ME UP.[mad]

What you don't realize is that it is privatized, its the private company that is requiring the credit cards, they are the ones making the money! It all stinks, they raise camping fees to pay for a managment company to man and take care of our public properties.

[#800000]These changes are for Internet Reservations only. You can still pay by credit card, check, or cash when doing it in person or by phone. Here is a link to the press release on new policies: [/#800000][#800000]http://static.stateparks.utah.gov/docs/newsrelease022510.pdf[/#800000][#800000].[/#800000]

[#800000]The ‘Profile’ requires an email address, password, name, address, and phone number. Pretty simple really. Not really something that I would loose any sleep over. But you may feel otherwise. [:/][/#800000]

[#800000]And Kent; don’t you think a PM to Sterling explaining that all caps is the equivalent of shouting would have been more appropriate? He is, after all, just a new member with a total of only 3 posts on our wonderful site and may also be a novice at thread posting. Be gentle, my friend; be gentle. [Smile][/#800000]

I suspect that a debit card would work just as well. No need for a credit card.

Im sorry guys! i didn't know that all caps meant shouting. really i didn't. i usally use caps so i can see better the words im writing. thanks for sending me that link. i had read the news in the paper and it's vague on alot of points. for instance, do you know weather or not you have to pay at the gate with a credit card just for day use or boat launch? i guess i'll call the (800) number.
yes im new at the post board and am still trying to find my way around in here. the only way i could access your messages or even know i had a responce is with my yahoo mail. at the top of my message board it always says (no new messages). i guess i figure it out though, it's worth it.

That area that says no new message is for private messages, I'll send you one in a few minutes so you can see. When you get a PM it should highlight in red, just click on it and it will take you to the PM. We all get notified the same way, through our Email, unless you have it turned off. By the way welcome to the site. WH2

You can beat all this Utah BS By doing what I did. MOVE to Wyo. [Smile]
I just bought my resident boat launch and camping permit for $73 dollars. Thats $73 TOTAL. No additional fees for over night camping at any Wyo. state camp ground.
Utah is gouging the $hit out of the residents with taxes, fees, use permits ect. ect. ect.. [mad]
Oh yeah when I registered my 07 Ranger last year I paid Utah over $300 to put my boat on the water.
I just forked out $40 dollars in Wyo. and the registration is good fro 3 years [cool]
I can't believe it took me so long to get the hell out of this state!
