I tried to look up the stocking report this morning and imagine my suprise when a porn site popped up. Not the type of stocking report I was looking for!!!!! When it first started loading the page it said "-------- was here" I thought that was weird and then popped up the porn.

Yipper, thats the work of a website hacker. I had a hacker take over my work network a few months back. Cost me thousands in loss of earnings (all my workstations were down for two months) and technical help. Just recently I had a website that I built hacked, nothing I can do about it but delete the site and start a new re-build. check it out www.sk8nz.com the guy still has his landing page up. Annoys me every time I look at it (20 hours of my life wasted due to some punk that wants to view there own agenda on the backs of others).
Apparently, computer virus's (malware) and website hackers are up 500% compared to last year. Can you say domestic terrorism? Make sure you have a really good anti virus (update it everyday) program as well as a great anti malware/spyware software installed. Be careful when looking at Malware and antivirus software's, some install nasties just to get you to make a purchase. The free AVG anti virus works well as does the Spyware Detector anti malware/spyware software (although it costs). If you are after a free scan, check out Malware Bites (google it). Its scanner works well and will tell you what is lurking on your hard drive. Regular back ups of your system and content are a REALLY good idea. If I had backed my work up I would not have been effected as much. The new virus's and malware attacks are scary and can be expensive to repair (some require a complete re-install), especially key loggers and backdoor Trojans that allow criminals direct access to your work stations. Lucky for me the wife was sitting right by me when it happened. So THIS TIME she really believed me when I said it just POPPED UP.
