Carpe Diem and Trout too
#1
Yeah I know it means sieze the day.....but what ever. Hit Bountiful pond today with the Kiddo from 12-5pm on the north end. We caught 4 carp and 4 trout and a sea gull. All carp were caught on plain old bread and the trout too. #4 hook on the bottom got em all. The bird was caught in flight and was also safely released unharmed. Sorry no pics this time, but just wanted to let people know they are biting at Bountiful....not stocked yet this year, but soon more will be. People were also catching on Powerbait the other day, but bread has been working great so why use something else.

Also.....2 game-fish limit per person...just a reminder as some are still getting used to the new rule and I have seen tickets given....dont be one of em'

Yup, there were a TON of birds and we were trying to cast far from them, but they went swimming towards any splash. The one we caught was actually casting....he flew right into the line, we reeled in slow knowing that the hook was not too far away. He got close to shore and I used the bag off of the back of my chair to keep him calm and we untangled him and he was off...good as new.

As a kid I was throwing small flies to some bluegill and caught a duck. That I gotta say was the only bird hunting I have ever done.[:p]
