Corroon is the future!!!!
#1
To all the Utah anglers and members that have family that live here. Anglers For Corroon. He's running on the D ticket against Herbert. He's been the mayor of Salt Lake County and Herbert's was picked as Jon Huntsman's running mate. So when Obama chose Huntsman for the U.S. AmbasSador to China, Herbert slid in.

Corroon's hand was forced by the legislature regarding the Unified police/fire deal. Every other city that contracts with Unified gets their tax revenue from utility service taxes. Residences of unincorporated Salt Lake county could not be assessed for police and fire protection in any other way than by special assessment, thanks to the Utah legislature who wanted to make Corroon look bad by making such assessments illegal for county residents.

Certainly you aren't advocating that unincorporated SL County residents get their police and fire services for free and at the expenses of other towns, are you? SL County has lowered expenses substantially and maintained services under Corroon's direction. Remeber also how the legislature came in and raided SL County coffers to build the boondoggle soccer stadium after Corron said no. There's problems but Corroon is the not one of them IMO.
