Hello From South Western Viginia

Hi all. My family and I live in south-western Virginia (Buchanan county). I have fished a little in the past,but am basically a newbie,and I want to get my kids into fishing to have fun and spend time together,build some memories.

I spent most of their lives over-the-road hauling freight with 18 wheels,but an injury from 2001 finally put me off the grid for working,and I've been learning the ropes as a Mr. Mom for just over a year now. Well,the finances are...practically non-existent (until the government decides to stop playing the SSI/Disability game they play when one can no longer work),but I wouldn't trade the time with my wife and kids for a 7-figure annual income-or a lifetime of pain free days,LOL!

Anyways,this looks to be s pretty good site (and I'll be looking at the VA forum [cool]),I hope to learn some things (and help anyone else out as well).

Welcome to the site SS92. Another fish that most kids love to catch is bluegill or any fish in the panfish family. Good luck with your outing with the kids.

TY very much! I'll be getting everything ready tomorrow,including the picking up of their new Zebo 33 Classic combos (identical...no bickering over whose is better,LOL!) and my first license in years. I'll try and get on over the weekend and post about the day [cool]
