took the porta-bote to hyrum saturday morning--WHAT A CIRCUS! We were on the water by 6:30 and by 8 their were atleast 20 ski boats and 10 fishing boats on the water. Fought the traffic until 10:00. managed to pull in 4 small bass on senko. Had a nice visit with Officer Barney Fife as we were leaving. He scolded me for not having a bale bucket in the porta-bote. I tried to explain that it floats even when full of water so there is no need, but then he asked about the rifle we were carying in the bote (my fishing buddy II fits nicely into a rifle case). I told him it was self defense against the drunk skiers and we were on our way!
