Sat night rocky point 33 hole
#1
Howdy
Me and buddy fished rocky point area 33 hole turnoff. We arrived about 6pm lot had a few cars couple people fishin from the bank. Wind was blowing hard we could see lighting.

We pack our gear &starting hiking down heading towards hemenway it was a brutal 40 min hike reminded me of bootcamp[frown] we finally get to a secluded spot bait up with night crawlers on the bottom and let em soak

Wewere in a bad spot we were gettin broke off by rocks or something not fish. We try to move but the bank was steep and it was dark & windy so we settle nearby slighty better spot I land a baby cat snap a pic (seebelow) and toss him back. My buddy lands a slighty bigger cat very light colored but as soon as he hoists up on shore he breaks off and flops into the water[:p] we fish the rest of our crawlers and throw some lures with no success starting heading back around 11pm it starts gettin nasty out. On the way out we talk to a guy who says anchovies or sardines are better than crawlers so next time I buy some thnx for looking.

Anchovy on a jighead is a great way to fish for cats. 1/8 to 1/4 ounce, hooks them in the corner of the mouth every time. Try pre-soaking the cut bait in garlic or anise.
