Fished Willard today with Petty4life, launched from the South Marina around 9:30 am fished until 2:30pm . Through everything in the box at them and no takers for anything. Weather was perfect water conditions were perfect Water Temp was COOL TO THE TOUCH, LOL .
It was a good day on the water and great company, Thanks Petty for for the ride wish the catching was better.

It sure is strange but the good weather doesn't mean the catching will be good[unimpressed]. Ralph and others did good with the bad weather coming in a few days ago. It is hard to know when to get out there any more. From all reports the afternoon and evening has been the best, so it will be interesting to see if anyone got out for some fishing this evening. I'm taking this week off, so I hope to get out once or twice but the question is which day will be the best[:/].

I hear you Curt, I'm hoping to have my boat back from the shop early this week and take it out to Willard for a test run .

I have found that, during boiling season, wipers boil more often and much longer when there is a cloud cover. From the looks of the skys today around noon, the cloud cover might be just the ticket for this evening.
Saturday night I and a neighbor went out and scored a walleye and a wiper. The wiper came in on a boil. We got to the "boil area" kind of late in the evening. Caught that one wiper and then too dark to fish anymore.
But at the fish cleaning station, one guy was cleaning 5 wipers and another guy cleaning 9 wipers from his group. They said that they had caught them all out of boils earlier.
With this nice cloud cover, I am seriously considering going out this evening.

Well, at least I was not alone in a Wiperless Willard experience. I fished from 10:30 to 3:00 and trolled form South to North, North to South, West to East through all the birds and nothing but sunshine. Tried a variety of lures from shallow to deep runners that usually work. Nada. Didn't see anyone at the fish cleaning station either.Water temp 63 to 67.

Gold 18' Tracker Tundra with no top. I was by myself, but still had a good time. Everyone was pretty spread out, so I don't recall seeing you, but I did see the Kokanee sticker on the black truck.
