TUBE CAMERA / VIDEO MOUNT
#1
THE SUBJECT OF TRYING TO TAKING GOOD PICTURES WHILE ON YOUR TUBE HAS BEEN COVERED ON PREVIOUS POSTS, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE WHAT I CAME UP WITH....A CAMERA OR VIDEO CAMERA MOUNT.
I USED 1 1/4" IN PVC ALONG WITH 1" PVC AND ALBOWS, ANGLES TO FIT THE 1" PVC.

1ST MOUNT THE 1 1/4 PVC IN THIS CASE ABOUT 9 IN LONG WITH U BOLTS. SLOTS WHERE CUT IN THE PVC TO KEEP FROM MOVING AND TO PUT SOME PRESSURE ON THE INNER 1" PVC SO IT DOESN'T SWING WILDLY, BUT STILL ALLOW IT TO SWING BACK AND FORTH.
THEN FIT ELBOWS AND ANGLES TO 1 IN PVC CUT TO DESIRED LENGHT. THEN DRILL A HOLE THROUGH THE ANGLE AND RUN A 1/4 X 2 IN BOLT, THE NUT GOES ON THE INSIDE OF THE ANGLE TO HOLD THE BOLT IN PLACE.

THE PICTURES WILL ILLUSTRATE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT

The PVC wizard hits another home run! Great work AT. I'll have to come back and analyze it when I have a little more time.

BLUEGILLMAN, NO REMOTE CONTROL. I USE A KODAK EASY SHARE DIGI CAMERA. ALL I DO IS SWING THE ARM IN PRESS THE 10 SEC TIMER, SWING BACK OUT AND POSE FOR THE PICTURE. MY CAMERA LIKE ALOT OF OTHER DIGI CAMERAS CAN ALSO SHOOT VIDEOS LIKE THIS ONE SHOT THIS PAST WEEKEND.

AT,

Nice video.

I'm intrigued you your new design. Once I saw it in action it made a lot of sense. Now that I've seen how your's works I'll have to see what I can do with mine. You are pretty sharp with the PVC. You may have just kicked off the next level.

Sweet setup, AT! That's a good-lookin ride ya got there. After seeing that, I may have to rethink the idea I had for a camera mount--I really like the swivel action. Thanks for the post!

[cool][#0000ff]I wonder if self photography would hold up as an alibi in a court of law. I doubt that it would be enough to prove a case to a questioning spouse, but proper dating and timing of all shots could help verify your whereabouts at a specific time...say about the time your spouse was bludgeoned to death with your float tube transducer setup.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Very creative and nicely put together AT. Thanks for sharing.[/#0000ff]

Hope I'm not dragging up and old thread here, but I have been devising my own self portrait camera mount based on a horizontal telescopic mount concept.

I like ATFISHING's set up, its a quality idea but I think I maybe able to add a variation on it.

I hope to have it ready for a 2 day fishin bonanza this weekend, if I do I will post pics and hopefully a youtube vid for ideas, comments and feedback all welcomed.

I bet you all cant wait! [blush]
