Lure Sequence
#1
I was wondering when you are out bass fishing, what is the sequence of lures everyone throws? I always start out with the fast lures and then if I am not getting bites, I will slow down with the slower lures. I will start with a crankbait and then switch to a spinnerbait, then I will swim a curly tail grub on a jighead, and then finally switch to a crawfish or a worm dragged across the bottom. Does everyone else start fast and then slow down or should you start slow and then go faster? I happened to think about that yesterday while fishing during my lunch break. Thanks in advance for everyone's input!

You have to see what time of year it is,water temperature, cloudy or sunny, did a front pass by yesterday?,are bait fish present. What's the water depth? Not easy is it. You need to know what to throw, when to throw it and how to present it at that time. Then when you've tried all that you think should work, put a weightless worm on and slow down. Bass fishing will drive you crazy at times due to lock jaw. But when it's hot, nothing like it. Get Bassmasters and study the articles, it will help you alot.

gdn443 is right, there are a lot of things to consider, but knowledge comes with experience... Along with bass master magazine there is a LOT of free reading on the internet... My brother inlaw was a fisherman on the Bass federation in MO and I love to take him fishing on Flaming Gorge for smallmouth... He will give me fishing lessons and scold me for trying something different, as I spank him almost every time!
"That might work in the spring bla bla."
As I reel in another fish...
"Right now the bass are deep."
As I bring in a Smallmouth on a top water...
Don't only try something because someone says to... You never know!
