Chicken of the sea
#1
[Smile]Hey folks - I have not posted much since the ice came off - I just have not fished hardly any this summer but I just got back from my first tuna trip down in San Diego and thought I would share a photo - if it works. Caught my first bluefin and it was a bomb in fact all the fish were the bomb. WE caught 138 albacore avg about 30 lbs and seven bluefins - mine was about fifty lbs. I have never had anything pull or hit like those fish do. My arms and back are still sore but the grin is still there. I just finnished canning about 80 lbs of fillets which are good eating!

Nice fish Extex, do you have any more you can post? I sure wish I could handle that salt water fishing but out of the three times I've been out, I've been sick all three times. Sick or not I've managed to catch several nice salmon, a tuna and a Wahoo. Sure wish I could chase those fish again but I figured after the third time that was all I could take. WH2

Have you tryed the variety of sea sickness medication or any of the patches and other devices on the market? They should all work to some degree if taken or used properly.

Here ya go WH2 - This is a nice Albacore - notice how calm it was [Sad] I felt like a pinball at times I would be holding onto a fish and would get slammed into the rail or into something else. I did get sick about two hours into the trip out but the diesal fumes below deck is what got me - I was fine after chumming a little and making sure I stayed on top. [laugh]

Hustler, I've tried it all and the best I've been able to do is two hours until I'm chumming.

Extex, another nice fish and about the chumming, I've been there and after my first trip being 8 hrs, the last two have only been 4 hours but it's always the same unless I'm close to shore. WH2
