I caught a 6 lb bass the other day using a Laser Lure middle diver. I have actually had quite a bit of success since purchasing this bait. Has anyone else tried one of these baits?

Based on their sales tactics, I wouldn't waste a wooden nickle on one [ ![Tongue Tongue](https://bigfishtackle.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.png) ]

Sorry, but I don't follow. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with their sales tactics.

"sales tastics",sometimes what happens, companies focus more on their lures catching the fishermans eye, later you might relize the hooks are cheap,or the paint is peeling off, just an example,I think thats what he meant..

Nah. What I meant was dinglingus has five posts, and all five are asking if people think the "x-lure" is as awesome as he he thinks it is.
Obviously someone has a vested interest in their success [bobsleepy]

Good thanksgiving. Had three of them! No update on the rod. Never heard of bass on cutbait, but I imagine if you put it in front of them, they'll take it!

3 of them! wow,so yea it was cool, first for me,I did this once also with a "healthy" peacock bass,I guess she must of followed her nose, she swallowed it too he-he,bait was sitting there for only about 15min,I was going for catfish or gar,you know how I do......Paulpro knows fishing like Bo Knows baseball...Always expect the unexpected,Paulpro.I got her on a small piece, but had two other lines out with a small bass I cut in half from nose to tail,I was hoping a huge bass would of done the same, but not a nibble,I was also hoping to get a turtle for Thanks giving feast lol

Turtle has seven types of meat the neck, legs tail, upper shell area and organ meat, also just like me ,they have both white and dark meat[inline "thanksgiving turtle.JPG"] found a couple of vids of bass so you can see what they are capable of,we catch them sometimes with a snake sticking out of their mouth, sometimes they even eat with their mouth full.

Imilly,I can't wait to see what you catch,I want to help.I would say try a rapalla "floating" minnow,bk/gold around 2"1/2 and get the biggest with two trebble hooks,I pinch the barbs down on even most my lures,be carefull, they are very sharp,"ouch"[#8000ff]pinching barbs[/#8000ff] also makes it easier to unhook.Start with small lures to help you land a fish quicker. In shallow areas use the bannana lure.I recommend the smallest size, zarra puppy.Get also a deep diver, let the current take as you slowly twich it back in.On the rapallas I sometimes remove the lip of the lure to make it more topwater,or rig it backwards by taking off the back hooks and put in front, then tie line to back instead, this will keep it on the surface .If there are lizzards you can try 4" zoom in a dark color,I use light line 4to 6 superline, and a 1/32ounce split shot,or with no weight. Also Twirl tail worms from Luck "e" strike,6"size 1 worm hook for extra finess, use along with same bullet weight.I caught my only 2 bass for today on them bk,pink tail,a rapalla is said to catch all species of gamefish. You can use up to 10lb mono,or braided line.I like to get the popper in the smallest size, only bad thig is that the trebbles get hooked to each other.I take off the rings and tie each hook directly to the eye using some heavy braided line, this shortens the distance between the hooks just enough,a minor design flaw with the small rebel popper.So..... "are you a popper or a princess"Also try for catfish, use hotdog pieces, throw some in an hour at least before you fish, you can try for them in the early afternoon,if you don't like to fish at night,if you can't catch anything, well I saved a spot for you on "my boat".
