spring creek or farewell bend
#1
I haven't used these boat ramps are they in the water? Is one better than the other? Also if I put in on the Oregon side do I need an Oregon license?

Thanks

Here is a link to boat ramp info and reservoir level. It looks like right now that Spring Creek is a couple of feet short of "usable" level with the water at 2052 feet and usable level at Spring Creek of 2055 feet.

Looks like Farewell Bend is just usable with a whole 1 foot to spare!

It appears that they are raising the water and Spring Creek would be usable by Saturday.

It is my understanding that you do not need an Oregon fishing license if you put in on an Oregon side ramp as long as you fish from the boat (no fishing from shore or tying up to shoreline) and don't go up any of the Oregon river arms too far. Not sure just how far up a "River arm cove" you can legally fish. Maybe where current if evident?

Thanks Bob. That's what I thought. Do you pay for parking at either?
I'm hoping someone who has been their recently will post.

I have not been over there this year but I've heard the fishing is slow because of the rising water. They have been raising Brownlee a foot a day and that has scattered the fish.

You do not need an Oregon license when putting in on the Oregon side as long as you fish Idaho water and not go up any of the Oregon creeks, rivers such as Powder River.
