headed out on wednesday to the jordan with youngfish. thanks for driving btw! got there about three and immediately started getting into mudders... switched to a spot troutbumdave was kind enough to recommend and finally got into some channel cats! pics 1&2. im guessing the big one was around 6 pounds. ended the day with 4 channels between us and we just stopped counting the mudders. also got one white bass.
The next day i took the girl out for some quick fishing at HGP but it was really slow and only managed one rainbow. so we packed up grabbed my brother and headed down to where i had fished the jordan the day before. once again we got a bunch of mudders but it was still fun taking her and my brother out. she was a natural! its nice to have a girl that can take care of herself on the river. she ended up catching 7 and beating me and my bro! great couple days on the water but im ready for some trout!!

oh wow thanks for the report. Awesome the girl was taking care of herself. I brought a girl from my work that had nothing to do fishing with me once and she was a beast. I saw a crawdad in the water, I was like hey that would be good bait but I aint picking that up. She just dove in the water and grabbed the crawdad. We had a bb gun target competition and she smoked me and taught me how to adjust the sight. Ya, your pics aren't working on my computer either... As for that crawdaddy, grab those suckers! Next to white bass meat, I like those dad's almost as much. I just pull the tail off and chuck the claws n' stuff right back into the water -- you know, give the local kitties something to smell -- and put the tail on a hook. I will crack the shell a bit so it's a little softer and so it'll release more scent. (not sure if it does, but it sounds good, doesn't it?)

If you have a girl that fishes, hold on to her. When my wife and I were dating she always told me she'd go fishing with me. Now that we're married, not so much. Funny how some things change once they get that ring on their finger.
I can't complain, though, cause she lets me go as much as I want without her.

ya me too! its crazy but I did fish a spot that was easier to enjoy and wasnt fishing as focused as usual.
