Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir
#1
I know it's kind of late notice, but I am looking for a link to a good map of the reservoir and some good places to go bank fishing tomorrow. The only thing I can really find online is Google Maps, and it doesn't even name all of the coves or anything. Would also love any advice on trying to hookup a Walleye, I will probably be fishing mostly for bass, but I've never caught a Walley and would love to get one of those as well.

Think I would drive down hwy 93 towards Jackpot, NV watch for sign that says Backwaters on right side jsut before u get to Jackpot. That gravel road takes u to the south end of Salmon Falls Res.

Made it out to Salmon Falls, and had a really good time. We camped on the north end fished all morning and early afternoon by the boat ramp, without even a bite. Decided to pack up and try the south end about three in the afternoon. After driving on a bunch of different roads we found a spot that we liked. Almost immediatly I got a bite, and saw several fish following my lure, I thought fure sure it was going to be a great afternoon, but after that nothing. We went back to camp on the north end of the lake and had dinner and then did some more fishing. Ended up catching a bass, and a trout, and my first Walleye all on the same lure which I thought was pretty cool. The trout were jumping like crazy that night!! I mean hundreds of them, I saw at least twenty or thirty come completely out of the water. Even though I would have loved to catch a bunch of fish it was a great time and great to be out in nature and a three species day is always a good day to me!
