We decided to head out yesterday to check on a couple spots for saturday. The fish were picky, we didn't get alot of bites but the ones we did were keepers. We boated around 10 bass with all them over 15 inches, the biggest being 3.5 to 4 pounder. We started out on a main channel point my partner was throwing a fluke, second cast he hooks a nice 17 inch fish, a couple casts later I pull in a 15 inch fish so we decided to leave them there an hope they'll be schooled up there saturday. We hit some grass flats I had found last saturday to see if they were holding fish, the numbers weren't there but we did manage a solid 3 pound fish off of one of them. We then started riding around looking for other areas to fish. I told my buddy about a spot where I had saw 5 boats run into one by one last week, so he said lets go see whats in there.....the answer was GRASS.....thick grass.....we fooled around looking and ended up boating our big fish and two more three pounders from here....after that we called it quits. All fish were caught anywhere from 4'-12' of water. All my bites came of a texas rigged worm and all my partners came from a fluke and buzzbait. I'll be on the water saturday morning going out from Goodfield. Any of you boys see a 19' Javelin stop by and say hey!!
