Dropshot, Chickamauga, Largemouth/Whites/Catfish, 6/25/2012, Wife
#1
Got behind on posting lately from the water so I pulled out my lake notes and thought I would start with last night.
The wife and I hit the water around 5:45, putting in at HBSP and headed down to an underwater spring. Caught three largemouth out of the first spot, two on a DD-20, and the third on a 1/2 ounce Beulah jig. Wind made it diffcult to stay on the our spot, and with all three of the fish being under 2.5 pounds, I decided to finally head to a deepwater ledge. When I arrived, I could see plenty of fish on the color graph. Started out throwing a shaky head and quickly landed two more largemouth, both keeper size, but small by new Chick standards. Finally resorted to a drop shot and after catching two more largemouth caught two channel cats, a blue cat, and seven white bass.
Not the huge quantity and quality of largemouth I was looking for, but a nice day to be on the water. Headed home before dark.
