If you want to be close to Henry's try Wild Rose Ranch . If you want to be close to Island Park Res. Try Lake Side Lodge . Both are right on thr water . Curt G.

I use to camp at Red Rock but last year I booked the RV camping at Mack's Inn. Walking distance to store, restaurants, and the river. Full hook-up and cheaper than Wild Rose.

Others have offered good advice. I just drove through there and it was busier than I have ever seen. The whole 29,miles of town seemed full.

Henry's lake state park has electrical hook ups but no sewer from what I remember. They also have pretty decent bathrooms and showers.

With the 4th of July being a holiday and here in Utah the 24th, I see July being busy, but where are you talking? The Mack's In Campsite is set off the main Hiway.

Thanks for all the ideas. I;ve been all around Henry's. State n County, Red Rock. Wild Rose. just didn't know what they had for services. The wife kinda wants to be in the timber so IP might be the ticket if I can find a spot. I think I'll do a recon trip tomorrow. I looked at Mack's Inn and CoffeePot campgrounds online. We just need a base for some day trips. Henry's, Yellowstone, Ennis so anywhere in IP would be fine. I just restored a 1959 Aljo and I can't wait to get it out. Thanks again I'll let you all know how it went.

The road at the top of Ashton hill is very rough and under construction , you might want to go around the Warmriver way . If you do stop and look at the fish at the feeding station . There are many big fish to look at . Curt G.

I was just saying the whole place Island Park in general seemed really busy. There were people and cars from Henrys to Ashton. I just couldn't believe it for a non-holiday.

Unless they don't advertise it, I couldn't find anything on RV sites there.
Or there is more than one "Lake Side Lodge".

The camp ground is east of the six new rental cabins . there are some mobil homes that are in the camp ground that pay for there spots by the year . I stayed 4 season there before we bought our property . The camp ground was almost full on the 4th . there are a lot of open spots now . They are charging 1500.00 for a season and 400.00 for a month . I don't know the daily rate. Curt G.

We took a recon trip on Sunday. We stopped at Buffalo, Big Springs, Upper CoffeePot and Buttermilk campgrounds. Really liked Buttermilk the best, had some great spots next to IP Res. and Likeside lodge area looked fun. We'll be headed back up on the 29th for a week, should be fun. There was not alot of people and all of the campgrounds had great spots open, I hope we are as lucky in a couple of weeks.[cool] thanks again for all the help!!!
