Ive been catching a few at Nick so I decided to fish the last 2 weekend tournaments out of MCP. Last weekend was great as the sun came out and the fish were where they have been for a while now. Nickajack just seems to be full of 16&quot; 2 lb bass but I havent been able to catch any much bigger than 3.25 lbs or so. 12.70 pounds last Saturday and 12.15 yesterday. This Saturday was alot different with higher water and clouds. Still managed a few early before one of the heaviest rain storms Ive been in came down the river. Rain is one thing, lightning is another. We decided to run across the river and just tie up to someones dock and take shelter at their house. I figured they would understand but didnt have to worry since no one appeared to be home. After getting soaked till around 11:45, the sun came out and we were able to get a limit and even cull a couple of times. I wished the weigh in was a little later than 1pm but I definately understand the reasoning. It does appear that I need the sun to be out and it be hot as heck to catch them good. <br />I look forward to fishing with those guys next month.
