I viewed because of the name, to see a report. I have not been there, so I can not help you. Have not even talked to any one who has. Hopefully someone views that has.

You can get a boat on, but it is very low & the water quality is terrible. Lots of algae in the water. The water is also very warm, almost 79 degrees when i was there on Friday. We caught some fish, but the conditions are sure stressing the fish. You really had to revive them. It was bad enough we probably should have stopped fishing, but when you travel that far, it's hard to just turn around and go home. I would highly recommend waiting for some cooler weather before trying it & not putting any more stress on the fish. Hope this helps.

Is there any good bank fishing spots on Chesterfield? I haven't been there in decades and I am thinking of going to just fish off the bank before I haul a boat up there. I have a buddy that was up there a few weeks ago and caught some really nice fish and I want to take a crack at it before it gets so low you can't do anything there.

One of the guys here in Lava went yesterday morning and caught 8 off the bank ,kept 2 and said the rest were worn out when he cut them loose. Maybe ought to let them rest up,don't guess I'll go till fall.
