Congratualations. Not a particularly colorful one but maybe they lose some color now that spawn is over. Once Summer is here the bite really drops off with the sun.

Thats why I wasnt sure if it was or not, all the ones Ive seen pics off are really colorful but didnt look like a brookie so I figured it was a golden. Still a beautiful fish and glad to get that off my bucket list. The fishing was wierd up thier the fish would come on and catch a few then shut off for a while then back on. Would catch 2 or three fish then nothing for an hour then another 2 or three.

BINGO! Congratulations on that. In my experience up there, they don't really color up for another 3 or 4 weeks- labor dayish.

Looks like a Golden to me. Definitely not a Brookie and I that that is the only other species of fish in that lake. Definitely not a colorful one. Their color is probably fading a little since they are not in spawning mode any more. The one I caught up there in June was really bright.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, got pretty lucky first time ever fishing for them I got one! Beutiful fish even without the color now just wish they would get a little bigger [:/]
