List or online map of sportsmans access locations?
#1
Is there anywhere online where I could get a list of all the various parks and public access spots, preferably with GPS coordinates? I know there's a commercial paper map available, but I'm not sure if it has coordinates and entering everything into my GPS manually would be a pain.

Are you looking for access on a particular river??

I don't think there is a general list. The Salmon River guys on here have some maps and other info on access on it.

Also BLM has some good maps online of the South Fork of the Snake.

I'm mainly looking to explore new areas on the Snake and its tributaries within a couple of hours driving distance from Boise, but it would be nice to have access points and parks on reservoirs, ponds and smaller lakes as well. I've found lists of parks run by Idaho Power, as well as scattered listings on camping sites. But nothing all in one place.

I may just shell out for the paper map that lists the access areas. If I do, I'll make up a POI spreadsheet others can download.

Is the IDFG Fishing Planner any help?

A spreadsheet would be a great tool. I am afraid that the info you are looking for is spread all over in lots of different places. You could also use kmz files for points in Google Earth.

This link use to have a lot of the access points in the "regional maps" section. Sadly they have updated it and stopped showing a lot of the small sportsmans access points...
