Finally mad it up to drown a worm or two Sunday 10/26. After trying several places along the shore and the river, I ended up at the dam. Not a nibble using my old standby worm and marshmellow (ussually knocks em dead). some fellow fisherman were fishing right off of the dam and catching some nice ones using orange powerbait. I didn't have any all orange powerbait but the rainbow that I had in my box had a mostly orange color to it, so I gave it a try.
Riged up a bubble full of water and about 18 inches of leader below the swivle and gave it a throw out. As soon as it hit bottom and I was taking up the slack, BAM, a nice little 12 incher. I caught one other about 15 inches about 20 to 30 minutes later.
After that it kind of died off so I packed up and headed for home. I usually only catch one or two anyway because I'm the only one in my family that like to eat trout so anymore than that I kind of a waste.
Only the 15 incher had a couple of the little sore's on it but the little one did not have any on it. The water is still up and there were some boats on the water.
All in all. A good day of fishing.
