U'd think I'd learn from my mistakes but after losing a fishing vest at utah lake yesterday,I've lost a tackle box at sandy pond today. Guess I'm done fishing for a while. Either way, if u happen to have seen any I'd appreciate it if u let me know. Can't believe how many dishonest people are out there even though it's my fault still.

Did you lose it or get it stolen?
Maybe we could pitch in and fix this fellow up with some gear so he can get back to fishing. I have a vest and some spinners I never use. Anyone else?

The vest may still be at utah lake...I left it there, went fishing somewhere and realized I left 1 of my 2 fishing poles at the lake. So I went back and luckily the pole was back and I literally go back to fishing and can't find my vest...I was like unbelievable! Anyway, I never went back to look for the vest because of gas. It was left there on saturday.
I'm pretty sure some1 stole my tackle box today at sandy pond. I went home and realized it wasn't in my truck and went back and didn't see it in the parking lot or anywhere near the pond. There was a girl who was by where I was fishing when I went back to look for it. She had a tackle box that looked like mine and I asked if she'd seen one but she hadn't and I wasn't going to be confrontational about it. I'm not sure if I left it where I was fishing or set it down on the ground before leaving and forgot it, but either way it's not there anymore.

I have a bunch of crap as well. PM me and I can get it to you. Nothing worse than losing a bunch of gear. (or dropping it off of your pontoon into the murky depths of Utah Lake... dirty bass turd!)

Dang dude that sucks but god i'm a mess this year. I've easily had my best catches and best year fishing but i've had my fair share of crap moments. First of all, I went fishing the jordan river one spot and it was just pure luck....the top half of my pull came off when I casted it and normally i could have just pulled in the line but it got snagged where I threw it and it was way to deep and strong of current to go get it. Then One night I was fishing the jordan river in the dark and was walking to the truck with my two poles. My dad called me and my hands were full so I had to set 1 pull down. We got in a heated arguement and by the time the call ended I forgot I set it down. It wasn't there when I came back later that night with a flashlight or the next day. Oh and of course there's the lovely lost wallet. If any1 finds my old wallet along the jordan river, there's a $50 sportsmans warehouse card in it. I guarentee it hasn't been found yet cause where I went was heavily wooded. If any1 finds it they can enjoy it lol.

I was at the sandy pond from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and we did not see your stuff, where at the pond did you leave it? I saw a few of my old local buddies at the pond and maybe they picked it up. I will ask them and get back to you.

I'm not sure if u know who he is but I was fishing with a BFT member name was RonPaulFan. We were fishing on the side opposite of the pierre pretty close to the drain thing. It's a very confusing situation dude.
I came back once I realized it was missing and I walked back to where we were fishing and Ron had moved to the pierre at this point and there was only 1 person, a girl on the side opposite from the pierre.
She was near where we were fishing and she had a tackle box by her that looked just like mine. I walked by kind of stealthy because it was open and saw power baits in it which mine had. I didn't confront her though because i'm sure it's not that uncommon of a tackle box.
The weird part is that Ron took photos on his ipad and it showed that whole side of the lake and it wasn't shown anywhere. So that means some1 stole it REALLY fast and would have snuck by Ron to do so. Basically the 2 possibilities are: that girl with the box I saw stole it or I set it on the ground or parking lot or something before leaving and forgot to pick it up and some1 stole it. Very weird situation/experience.
By the way if I remember correctly its top half was dark green and bottom half white. It's probably like 1 foot long and 6 inches tall. It has a handle u can carry it by and there's a bar thing u have to use to lock it so your stuff doesn't spill out.

I know how you feel. "Payed my taxes" this year in fishing gear.
Luckily, these forums are full of kind-hearted people who jump at the opportunity to help out a fellow angler, down on his luck.
Good luck collecting your new gear.

I'm telling you, dude, ask anyone here about black/brown curly tail or leech patterns up at The Berry -- you just gotta start throwing them. It was good to meet you, give me a shout the next time you're heading up to Strawberry and I'll give you a first hand lesson on how to do it wrong, and then you can go from there and catch a few.

More like I'll get skunked and u dominate haha. Unless u were willing to go I don't think any boat fishing at least will happen. My dad never got the boat ready this summer so I haven't even been boat fishing once... We had a really good cove we used to fish from the boat and hardly any1 has been in it. I remember last year we were in it and no one was there but then they saw us pulling in fish and fish and he was a jack ass and decided to fish like 20 feet away from us.
