Finding the school of church fish!!!
#1
Well with all the harsh hikes I've been doing lately for ice fishing and all the hard ice i've been drilling it was time to side down and go catching again not fishing. I decided to take a small trip today down to Utah lake because it's 20-30 min away. I first checked out american for harbor around 12 pm ish and gosh it was a huge human church groups all over the place on just 5-7 docks out there.

I had no attention to fish with that churchy group. Then I just head down to Lindon boat harbor and it was peaceful. Only one other group down there fine by me. One of the guys there told me you got too wade through the dinkers before you get the good ones. End up catching a okay amount of white bass and 1 PERCH!!! I never expected I would catch a perch there but I let that perch go. Ice is about 1-2" and not safe what so ever I tried walking on the end of the dock or close to the boat ramp and just heard the lake SCREAMING for me to get off.

As well who ever was check out the lake camera and you were watching me fish. I hope you like my short episode of utah lake fishing LIVE. [laugh][Wink][Tongue]

I was at AF. Boat Harbor from 6:35am to 1:10pm and never seen any Church Groups Fishing?, There were 5 of us on the dock I was on and we had such a good time fishing and talking we didn't want to leave. I met 3 new Friends and learned a ton about fishing from some good ole boys who knew a hell of a lot more then I did. And
We did catch a half Dozen Crappie and a half dozen perch and a bucket of White Bass too.

Ya yesterday I wasn't in the mood to be grouped around with the amount of people there. If you saw a white ford taurus getting semi Confused getting out of the place and then flaming out of the place that would of been me.

When I say church group. I mean there were more people there then at lindon ha ha ha.

Bigger then what you will be catching through the ice. As well at least i got balls to go on the ice this year all ready. I've been ice fishing on 2"-20+" of ice. As well I'm sure you dont have the guts to hike up to lake mary and drill 20+" of ice.

Yes I know. I probably put the huge text book in that guys face finally. As well what happened from the bum guy that said he's going to stop replying or looking at my posts. Looks like I'm dragging you in a deep ice addiction now. For sure I'm not dropping out of college. I got about 3-5 years to get me somewhere farther in life.

Bit much there Dave. Getting a little too personal with your Richard.

And FFL - you might do well to reel in your statements about everybody being jealous of you. Glad you're enjoying the snow and ice, but trust me - you're not alone.

Show me a 50" Tiger musky pulled through the ice, and I WILL be jealous!

I know this is off topic but, I am curious if you are going to school on a foreign student grant???

Either way stay in school and get some good job skills. The fishing and hiking are great fun stuff, but the job skills will feed you!
